Persicaria microcephala 'Purple Fantasy' - 2016 (Persicaria microcephala)

There are reports from certain quarters that this plant is a thug. New to me here at Devonia, so the jury is still out. A moist, heavy soil in part shade suits it best.

Not as much as Painters Pallet red dragon and batwings......this is fairly well behaved.....

Red Dragon grows the biggest for me. This, it's first year, it seems a bit lax in growth, that is not very upright.

DD - my Painter's Palette hasn't moved an inch in ten years.

My Painters Palette is the best it has ever been. All the rain we have had? but I did take an apple tree out of this border. Also first time ever, found a seedling of Painters Palette, disturbed soil? Bit like Poppys and disturbed soil?
