This is the golden-yellow African Tulip tree flowering. Photo taken July 5, 2016.

The top is the flowers and the bottom is the flower spike.
This tree appears it's just started flowering. The two red African Tulip trees to the right have buds and are not flowering yet.
My African Tulip tree has flowered continuously for more than 3 years. That's very unusual for this tropical tree, anywhere.

oh the beautiful colours of tropical vegetation! It looks like it's only just started to bloom...imagine when that whole cluster breaks bud!
