Day lily

This Day lily has now grown out into my gravel path from the border, suckers I would think. It came with me from my previous garden in 1993 along with a yellow one which hasn't flowered yet. I have no idea of it's name but I have to dig it out after it's finished flowering. It just shows they will grow anywhere.

Is that a stressed Kwanso? Tough as old boots.

It does look like mine stressed Kwanso :-) Can be invasive as it spreads under surface. But....the flower itself is very bright, cheerful and attractive.

Thanks everyone. I'll call it Kwanso?
I think it might be stressed Siris. It's made it's way a few feet and under a brick edging to get to where it is. To top it all, I sprayed weedkiller in quite a bit of the gravel path about six weeks ago, after digging up anything useful. Obviously doesn't give up easily!

It deserves to live, common as muck, mine never gets any gall midges, have it in the most inhospitable place, just keeps flowering each year.

I have a day lily like that over here. It has several names. It will grow wherever I throw them, including my compost bin. It's a beautiful pumpkin orange, but extremely robust.
