Rose of Sharon

I have a white one but not even close to blooming yet. Lots of buds starting to appear. Pink one is pretty too.

Is Rose of Sharon another name for Hibiscus? (or maybe I'm just showing my ignorance . . . again!).

You're right Sheila. It's the name given to the winter hardy hibiscus. This has caused much confusion. There are other plants given the same name.
