White nettle- leaved mullein or Verbascum Chaixii. It's one I brought back from Herterton Garden in Northumberland. It is indeed ever so pretty, but don't know if it was a sensible buy as so many of my taller plants have just snapped this week or been clean pulled out of the ground, the winds were that strong once again. Sooo tired of this neverending wind this summer. Summer?????

Perhaps a good reason for construction of an enclosure? The winds are a characteristic of N.Yorkshire..aren't they?

Nonono, I don't want to loose my views and however I construct an enclosure that's what would happen. I will have to grow low plants in the raised areas in the back, adapting is the name of the game! Heucheras seem to love it here....
