As small children we always imagined a busy sawyer was in the trees... busily zzzzzing away. Since my name was Sawyer, we called them Sawyer's Bugs!

That's exactly what they are doing right now,lol. As kids my brother and I would go outside with a flashlight and watch them come out of their shell.

Never had that chance but between the cicadas and whipoorwills we had very interesting and different evening entertainment!
