Fillipendula in its country of origin?

I inherited fillipendula and have few plants which are not doing very well. The flower puffs are not as full as yours Bathgate. I think it likes moist soil and mine is very dry where it grows.

You may be right Klahanie. The research I've done indicates they prefer moist soil and this patch is right on the Hudson River banks.

Must look pretty along there.
