Hi Lori, these are growing very well and the insects love the flowers. We only grow a few runner beans and a few French climbing beans. Enough for us to eat and some to freeze. I don't like the beans when they are tough and stringy, so we pick them at a reasonable size.

Planted bush beans this year. They are so dry their leaves look crisp! The bush beans don't get as large. It's finally raining! as I sit here I can hear the drip, drip of water...we had some last night but it was a mere 2 mm. things barely got wet.

Good HB. The flowers seem to attract the blue butterflies.

Lori I hope you get some more rain than that. It's disappointing when so much energy gets put into growing things and then that happens.

I love scarlet runners... once they get started it's hard to eat enough of them before they get huge and tough. This is the first year in ages that I haven't grown runners.
