They bloomed extra earlier this year. They can be pruned...you just want to wait until they bloom first. As all the buds are at the tips.

This looks like a seed grown plant.
Klahanie you might look into a new cultivar that has RED blooms, looking much like a ..Delonix.
I've seen photos..fantastic and fully hardy tree.

I wouldn't know if it's seed-grown. I know there's a lot of varieties. The 'Chocolate' varieties have become super popular because they stays smaller.
I have seen some around that have very red flowers. This tree was at the end of its bloom cycle. All the summer-flowering trees bloomed extra early this year because of the extremely hot and dry February.

When the color is like that- light pink? Its seed grown. Deep pink? That's what nursery usually sell.
This new one,I've seen a post of it. If that photo's color is accurate, its a great landscape Albizia.
Klahanie has a knack for finding some choice variety's.

This tree isn't my favorite Albizia species. I like some of the other species from South America. They're beautiful and grow well here. Of course, I like Albizia saman (fka: Samanea saman).

Here's the RED Albizia. Get one Klahanie!
although,at second look, those photographs seem to over emphasize the red. Still, its not pink.

I've seen that variety here. It's very vibrant, almost giving a Delonix regia a run for it's money.
By the way the D. regia trees are flowering here. I haven't gotten one pic, yet, though.

I planted this tree 2 years ago. It is it's 2nd summer and it grew tremendously. Can it be pruned Delonix1? It bloomed little last year. I think blooms here are later than yours. Last year a deer damaged it but it recovered.
