Thanks Bloomer, I looked after a baby Hare a long time ago and then I released it back into the wild. I worked at glasshouses at the time and they had long grass growing around. When the men cut the grass this baby was found and they bought it into me so I took it home and gave it milk then green foods and when big enough took it back to where it came from. I didn't havemuch contact with it so it kept its wild streak.

I love your wildlife shots, Lindak. The hares are becoming more numerous here, finally. We have had a wonky balance for a while...too many foxes and coyotes. Last autumn a neighbour killed two lovely foxes (loathsome act) and I think that's why we're seeing more of the prey species.

Hi Lori, we have a Badger and fox that visit our very small garden at night. I have seen quite a few Hares this year, and rabbits and Squirrels whilst out walking. Also a couple of Stoats too. Living on the edge of the countryside we do see a lot of wildlife. People should be aware that we have built on their spaces and therefore they come into our gardens.

Things are still pretty wild and spread out here. We have had a young black bear visiting us recently. I think perhaps he has designs on the apples! Not much moisture about just now and they are coming to the small stream that runs at the base of our property...trouble is it's right at the roadside. We badly need rain..everything is getting crispy. The animals and birds suffer in the heat just like we do...oh for a lovely thunderstorm.
