Tonight's dinner..

Tonight's dinner..

All from the garden this morning. Not many runner beans but it's the first picking of these. The peas are coming thick and fast and the potatoes were a spare Kestrel tuber I planted in a tub. It kept drying out so I emptied it and was surprised to see how well they had grown. Now I wish I had left them a bit longer but there are plenty in the veg garden for later. The mint isn't doing too well though. It doesn't like it in the old bucket it's planted in....

Very satisfying - in more ways than one!

Yes, I agree. We enjoyed some of our peas for dinner, and I harvested the test of the potatoes. Its very satisfying to eat your own produce. :)

I hate running out of Beetroot Sheila its almost impossible to buy a good bunch in the winter if you can find it theres usually only 3 or 4 in a bunch and so expensive ...
