Its a tall Soapwort! much different to the ground cover varieties, i would highly recomend it it stands approx 4ft tall and the smell is wonderful! it does smell like soap! i got this one in the sale at B & Q last autumn it think it cost about £1 it was very bedraggled and it had one weedy little flower on it - i had no idea it would be so glorious this year! a rather plesant suprize! - even my next door neighbour has commented on it - and he is not a lover of plants!

Its latin name if you are looking for it is 'Saponaria officinalis etc. This one 'walks' but isn't a thug. I don't think that it's very common, you don't see it in gardens that often. Mine isn't as tall as that, though. You got a bargain there, Angie!
