Slugs are decimating my Kniphofias grrr

it happens ...... I remember my tree peony Rokii I had waited 3 years for the first flower and a a seagull had pooed justs on the flower bud and two days later it dropped off.

Nip out when its dark with a torch , I found a vine weevil eating my dahlia flowers !!! so I will be out tonight

I no its annoying but a shame it happens, it's weird but I'm sure it's happening in the daytime I've noticed the last two when getting home from work in the afternoon

its been wet enough for them to be out , but on a strong growing shoot a tiny nip grows into a massive hole.

use half a empty orange to entice them in ....

just noticed my "Barton Fever" is producing two flower stems ... so exciting as I have had that from a tiny 9cm pot for past two years and it took me ever to hunt it down.

Ohh good, still no good here had another flower coming on a new Tawny munched last night!!! Maybe won't be as bad next year :-((
