This is such a beautiful tropical tree from Burma. It grows super fast! This tree was very small a few ago. Now, it's tall. Photo taken on Aug. 11, 2016.

I had a really nice one in Hayward. It grew really fast until the 1990 freeze. Then it started coming back after the freeze and then it got a baterial infection and died. There was a large one at The Palmetum in Oakland, also (it died in the 1990 freeze).
I think this tree is very growable in the SF Bay Area. I think when it grows larger it'll take 25 degrees for a short period.
