Allamanda 'Cherries Jubilee'

My Allamanda 'Cherries Jubilee' had severe die-back about 7 weeks ago from the extreme drought. I didn't realize the ground was harder than concrete around this plant. I had to drill holes with an auger around the plant and water it for 3 straight days. Now, it's completely recovered and flowering like crazy. Photo taken Aug. 11, 2016.

Yes, it grows here too well. My friend had one and had to take it out because it grew too fast. It's difficult to propagate, though. He tried many times to get one to grow for me. The cuttings never took.
Stictocardia beraviensis is a really beautiful vine. You need a big space for it. Here's a pics of my friend's vine.
