Today in the garden.

Amazing...when you think it was just a grass field with geese running around.

lol yes I am constantly reminding myself, also a pig or two and a cow or two lol. as well as lots of chickens and guinea fowls. lol. and then there were the peacocks lol. had to give them up they kept going onto the road, blooming silly birds. lol the things this garden has seen would amaze some people. lol.

I can't believe it wasn't always a garden,after reading your comment,Barbara..what a transformation ,and how beautiful it is now with all your TLC..That is some accomplishment ! Was it a smallholding or farmland beforehand? please do tell :o)

Gamekeepers cottage, lol it still is really, not ours only rented from a large estate. We have a small field in the front and land at the side, on which we breed and rear mallard ducks. We incubate them ourselves and rear as many as we can well I say we, OH's hobby. He is into game shooting and enjoys rearing his ducks, hard work but it helps pay the bills. Not my cup of tea but I believe everyone should do their own thing.

A lovely place to be.....my OHs grandfather was a gamekeeper on a large country estate in Worcestershire...and his great great grandfather's were all gamekeepers in Norfolk!!

My OHs relatives were all gamekeepers on large country estates, in Worcestershire and Norfolk he has just managed to trace back to some of them..... fascinating stuff...... would have suited my OH, that kind of life....

It is interesting looking back into our heritage, I love living here hope I am here for lots more years to come. :O)
