Succulent Euphorbias

They are not cacti, they are succulent Euphorbias, that are adapted to growing in arid conditions.
They are native to Africa - mostly the southern area.

Those are all good long term potted plants. Klahani posted a great old E. aeruginosa in Mexico in a pot.
The E.enopla grows to a nice 2' or so in time.

They all so cute! They do stay small in pots. In the ground many species grow very tall and tree-like.

I was always fascinated by this family of plants it has about 2,000 members and is so diverse. I was shocked when I learned (many years back) that poinsettia is one of them.
