This is all new for me. Papaya in the bay area.
Still,ripe fruit is at least a year or more away..to be continued...

I looked at it yesterday.Its sort of buckled out on the sides..but cant make out if it means something.

You'll find out soon. They develop into little fruit very quickly.

See who else is growing Carica papaya (Common Pawpaw).
See who else has plants in genus Carica.
If it sets fruit now it won't ripen until next spring.
