This Hibiscus has been moved many times, its been at times kept for years in a pot...finally I found a spot a few years ago. Then, this early summer in trying to save water I pushed it too hard...all the leaves dropped.
So,back on a light but regular watering routine and its looking ..ok.
One of the hardier tropical Hibiscus to cold also.

The cool weather since August hasn't put much stress on the heat lovers. I'm already going longer between waterings I notice.
Today we might not hit 70f. Livermore,73f when their average for this day is 93f.

It's only been in the lower 70's the last two days here. Typically, this time of year is sweltering hot! I love it!

Nope,I want my warm-lol. Unlike down south,we have no vacations to 80's or even 90's in Dec- Jan with the Santa Ana's.
We have the foggy valley and if we get offshores from them..it could be even colder. Although,at times we get that Mount Diablo thing and that can make for 70 or so in the dead of winter.

That's very true! We have gotten very hot in winter...those Santa Ana's sure can heat and dry everything out. I remember a couple of time it got up to around 98 degrees in February close to where I live. It was last year and in 2002. However, 80 to low 90's are not uncommon anytime in winter, from the Santa Ana's.
I remember the Diablo Winds in 1983 January, February, March. I think it was one of the warmest winter temps I remember. I remember 1983/1984 had very warm summers, also. I remember a lot of low to upper 90's.
I think the winter of 1999/2000 was a very warm winter, also. It was the year I left the Bay Area. If I'm not mistaken it was the same year that San Diego didn't have a morning low drop below 50 degrees.
