Akita

I used to grow decorative dahlia Akita, it is a stunner. Mine was little less "cactusy" but the colour was very similar to yours Bathgate. Not all of my dahlias survive and I do buy some different ones every year. Lots of mine are still blooming. Dahlias are great for fall colour in the garden.

Yours are lovely as well. This one took forever to bloom; I guess they don't like the summer heat so much. Yes, this one is a real stunner. It must be 8 inches across. I have to buy new ones each year. I've never been able to overwinter them.
