Seems early to bloom this year.

Same happened here last year Linda ... I moved the bulbs to a sunnier spot and planted them really shallow ... seems to have suited them!

Lovely things aren't they? they do enjoy shelter and sunshine.
I keep mine in a pot on the patio , repotted only once or twice, and they are pretty crowded.. In over 10 years they have doubled their number and are an autumn delight..

I think they are early Shirley. Mine are just pushing out and I thought that was early. Lovely.

No sign of ours..... usually the snails get to them before I remember to put the pellets down....

Stera, that sounds lovely. My dear old Nan used to grow hers in sandy soil right up against the house walls and they always bloomed well.
Thanks Klahanie ...
Oh, that's a shame Dotty ...

Sandra perhaps you are too far north for them? I never saw any when we lived in Sheffield.

You could be correct,Stera, and I did plant them in a sheltered south facing position, with the tops exposed as instructed...I guess it wasn't meant to be :o(
