Thanks Joannie. Actually it just kind of happened in stages. The first flower bed that I put in was the one in the center coming from the patio and garage. I did it at an angle instead of straight out through the yard. The following year I put in another bed on each side of the center one. I think that the choice for putting the middle one at an angle turned out to be a good one as the garden came out more interesting. The best thing it did is that it prevents someone from seeing all the garden at one glance and I like that look.

You've done a great job! Gardens are always evolving, aren't they? You can never sit back and say, 'That's it, finished!'

You are so right Joannie. Every time I'm out there I see something that I want to move or think of something that I would like to add.

Is a shade house a necessity, Mike?

It is a necessity Spritz. My parther has all his orchid cactus plants in there for the summer. I'ts equivalent to 50% shade. The plants thrive in the heat and humidity.

It looks like the kind of garden to wander round and find something differant every time
