To be honest it has struggled a bit. I planted it in a bit too much sun if the truth be known.

Not a difficult plant (actually very forgiving) but I've certainly had an issue with blackfly this year.

That's strange you would say it doesn't like sun. I once had this Congo Impatiens survive without any damage, 110ºF (43.3ºC) in direct sun. Not sure if it was a fluke, though.

They wilt very quickly if the roots dry out Delonix. I wouldn't say plant it in deep shade but I do find it does better if it is given some shade.

Yes, they do need a lot of water. That's why I have none right now. I used to have several in the ground; however, with this horrible drought and the extremely dry, hot temps the last 5 years in winter. (yes, in winter). I can't have any, unfortunately. :>((
