Windy but lovely and sunny today

Hard to believe it's nearly October ... garden looks lovely.

No rain this morning for us, got a sharp shower yesterday but none today so far. Hope you got some if you needed it!

One water butt was full, the other is now, plus we collected the rainfall off the polycarb roof above the vine so I would like it to stop now!

Shirley it started about seven this morning and stopped at midday...... quite heavy at times!! managed to get out and tidy up, before the heavens opened again!!...... just windy now, much cooler, but, the warmer weather is due to return!

Dotty, I didn't do any gardening yesterday, had a housework blitz! I know which I prefer though ... :o)

Oh yes indeed..... sometimes it just has to be done unfortunately!!

Right, washing out on the line, veg. prepared for dinner, so we're off out later to buy a shrub and have a coffee out somewhere, hooray! Then OH will watch endless footie games on the TV this afternoon ... :o(

Footie widows, golf widows, my hubby is a garden widower lol that is when I get my own back, although since he has retired he is taking an interest in the garden and the work which goes into it to keep it tidy. lol. He is quite useful with a chain saw lol.

We had a drop of rain early evening and this morning it is glorious sunshine, blue skies not a cloud in sight.

Have a good time shrub shopping Shirley. I am having coffee in the garden in 10 mins. yay............::O)

Barbara, my OH used to watch most competitive sports, but has narrowed it down to just football now.

He will help me in the garden if there's something I just can't manage, but always rushes it and gets his size 11 feet on precious plants, grrr!

I was successful getting the shrub, a Cytisus battandieri, this morning, but the place we used to stop at for coffee and cake has closed ... :o((

shame about the coffee and cake but glad you got the shrub you wanted :O)
