Contrasts, pyracantha and russian vine

Contrasts, pyracantha and russian vine

Hard work this Russian Vine - think they do call it mile a minute plant and it is so like its name. But the birds like it and sit and hide from the sparrowhawk in there so it stays. lol.

yes they are Shirley, the red ones up at the top of the garden must have ripened quicker as the blackbirds have all but stripped them. They have not started on these yet!

It is a lovely contrast Barbara. We need all the colour we can get at this time of year.

I watched a large Pigeon trying to balance atop the Pyracantha ... it was not successful in eating any berries though!

Yes very true Linda, things are changing fast now.

The darned pigeons are pests here, the dog has been trained to see them off, its quite funny watching him chasing them away, his bark is totally different when it is a pigeon chase. lol :O)

Dd the cotoneaster berries have been scoffed up by the blackbirds and the red pyracantha has also been eaten but these are still intact. Think they must not be soft enough to peck yet.
