Actaea 'White Pearl'

What a lot of blooms! Gorgeous :)

My actaea, only planted last year.....hasn't produced any flowers and it took forever to get growing this summer . I think they must be very fussy plants although I didn't realise this when I bought/planted it.

mine was planted spring 2014 it is in semi shade on quite heavy neutral soil it seems happy

Mine opened only partially in partly shade. Your "White Pearl" is a stunner Bjs.

Same sort of soil/situation to mine.....oh well, hopefully next year!

Beautiful Bjs, I'm pleased I discovered them. Paul I planted my Actaea this spring, it just sat and sulked all summer too. Last week I noticed it had started to bloom, well worth the wait. Mine is the Actaea 'pink spice' with chocolate coloured leaves.

Mine is a creamy coloured bloom......I think Resi....but I haven't seen a flower yet. They are obviously a slow starter but mine's been in a year now.

Resinone & Paul I am familiar With dark leaf pink flowered form.
That I have had for some years The one I have is called Pink Spike so wonder if they are the same variety.
The family seems a bit finicky it has not been a good year here for any other than the white one.
Something I have noticed if the ground is on the dry side it does not like high temperatures it will shrivel up young flower stems. like 30c

30c has not been much of a problem in n.yorks this year Bjs ? I have just added a pic of my Pink Spice, but must apologize, you're right, I managed the get the name wrong! Pink Spike it is!

Oh this is beautiful Brian, have been trying to grow these for over five years!! never had a flower, so annoying, because I love the plant, must buy one in flower, and see if that works......
