This is a country of Big leaf Maple (Acer macrophyllum )Amy, and there is lots of yellow around. Our forest looks so interesting in October with the tall evergreens and the yellow shining through. I just love walking through and admire.

I dont know about the trees going to sleep but hibernation does have it benefits as I wouldn't mind missing a couple of weeks over January and February lol
