For my files.....was hoping this would be a more upright plant, but, no still sprawly!! tut!!

As far as I can tell, looked on the net, it was suggested to Chelsea chop, did not do the plant any favours at all!! let me know how you get on with yours next season..... sometimes it can be a soil problem!

Reluctant to chop - the aim is to have it flowering at the same time as a lovely light orange crocosmia (you can see it in a recent blog) Do you know what sort of soil problem they might be affected by? Mine are still very new so its too soon to tell.

Have just read a very interesting article written by Helen Yemm of The Telegraph, best grown without too much feed, can be grown in gravel, but do need pruning in May, to stop them becoming leggy and floppy, especially when young...

Hi DD, hope you are OK and coping. So many Goy friends are cheering you on...
I just found a note to to tell you how my Perovskias are doing this year. All I can say for now is so far so good. I haven't cut them back as they don't appear to be going leggy, but it this is a mistake I can do it next year...
