These do so well here I bought another last year to put in the wood ,'Lionel Fortescue ', its first year and it has buds about to open too !!

Nice. I have a more special one, name escapes me, the leaves are red and green, will look tomorrow.

Lovely, a really good shape......is it grown on damp or very dry soil? Ours looks quite weedy compared with yours....

I have to admit to never having pruned this Dd it is such a lovely shape I don't want to spoil it, it is in the wettest area of the garden right at the bottom of the hill, very heavy clay too.

Is it ........my goodness, ours needs more moisture, that is why it is so thin....was told they like dry shade lol

It does have shade, Rob had to cut a huge branch off a tree the other day that was starting to cover it a bit to much, any excuse to use that chainsaw;-)
