Thank you...

I'll bet the upright pieces would root in place? what do you think, Sandra? it is the hardiest stuff. It used to fill the air with it's fluff in springtime. (when we lived up North)...what a curse! the fluff would accumulate like drifts of snow, and if the fluff landed in a bucket or container with water in it.. the seeds would germinate and sprout! It could colonize and take over huge areas of exposed ground and turn it into a swale in no time! wicked stuff... thank goodness you have an inventive mind. Cutting it usually isn't much fun but your effort has made something useful! congrats!

It does root everywhere Lori...But by making them now to use next spring they are fine. I'm hopeing to get some hazel stakes for the next ones. I'm going to do some hoops for wreath making next.

too bad we're an ocean apart... I have some hazel! It's been thinning out over the last two years and I saw only two nuts this spring and I'm sure the squirrels got them!

Oh how I wish u did too Lori...I did get some hazel but it's not straight and I had a hard time trying to use them. Not happy with it so it's going to be the fire starter tonight's bonfire...lol

ah yes, Guy Fawkes! Happy Bonfire night! It's my sister's birthday...so I never forget. :-)) I have some twigs and bits from the limb that fell off the walnut and when they burn they crack and pop and spit sparks. great for BFN!

Love a noisey fire too Lori...I like to burn holly and bamboo they crackle and pop too....well I had to beat the rain showers to get my bonfire going..but it was blazing just in time for the fireworks....?

I'm clever at close ups Dd2... My weaving as with everything is never perfect...in fact when I did a willow course the lady asked if I was left handed as I was doing everything backwards...but no I'm right handed... I just love having a go! Lol
