Not a big one..but a nice blue on a cloudy day. Not sure how hardy z9 I would think.

Something must have ate it. Its very hardy- down to z8 I see.
Just remember- once it gets going,you cant get rid of it...they say.

Love this plant. Used to have one but it disappeared. Mine was about a quarter of the one in your picture and I do not exactly know what happened to it because it is not known for being fussy and apparently a deer is not interested in it. Only thing I can think of is too wet or a rabbit.
