Cerinthe major purpurescens seedlings with variegated Ceonothus.

Cerinthe major purpurescens seedlings with variegated Ceonothus.

These Cerinthe major purpurescens seedlings have some flowers already. They seeded in the large pot of a variegated Ceonothus which was cut back hard earlier this year, now looking much better.

I like the variegated Ceonothus, thought it was a Eleagnus or Euonymus. Does it flower well? I find the Cerinthe a bit of a nuisance seeding everywhere.

I don't mind the Cerinthe, they're easy to pull out if you don't want them. The Ceonothus looked sick and only had a couple of flowers earlier this year and someone on here advised cutting it back which I did. It's come back much better now.

Won't bother with a var. Ceonothus then.
