More red leaves

I bought this several years ago as Acer atropurpureum (which means red leafed) last year I had it pretty well in full sun and it burned crisp. I moved it in the shade and hoped that I did not kill it. (I killed several small red maples) It came out beautifully in the spring but its leaves were more greenish all summer not atropurpureum .
But at the moment it has turned this beautiful red. My other red JMs lost all the leaves by now but this one is still in full leaf.
Red leaves on the ground are from Ornamental Plum nearby.
