I've seen this since it was a near houseplant size.

Its been a shrubby thing for years..now this. You can even see they have a nice Ficus benjamina behind it. I never noticed that before.

I think if this one never grew another foot taller or wider Sandra- the owners would take that. A small house with a compact Rubber tree looks great.
Let the botanical gardens have monster big Ficus!

Stan,
The rubber tree and weeping fig look great! They will eventually get much larger, though. Now, that you're receiving a lot of rain up there, they should grow super fast.
Are these trees in Hayward? It kind of looks like Oakland or San Leandro.

Its in Hayward near the downtown BART.
I think they even top pruned the rubber plant Andy- I never saw that Ficus benjamina growing there. I pass by it on the way to the wife's church every Sunday.
I think we are moving closer and closer to 10b every single winter. SF with warmer summers. Could be worse.

I used to live in Cherryland, oh so many years ago...it kind of looks like those houses close to that area.
Yes, the climate is getting milder (warmer) in winter and definitely hotter in summer! Also, drier! Yikes!

Some of my little shrubs have slowly grown into trees and finally made sence...I had no idea how big some of them would get! Looks like someone's done a fab job on this one.
