This week was this plants first pruning..first a small-big houseplant outdoors. Then a shrubby mess, they tied up with string,..now they got it just right. A nice small tree and you can also see Ficus benjamina,Schefflera arboricola variegated..and in the backyard an Avocaco tree. All very appropriate for this Spanish style home.

I like too Andy, the whole houseplant- given- freedom angle. Its always a kick to see what was once a little thing..planted out in Earth, sun, and become something.

I have seen several Ficus benjamina that size in the SF Bay Area. There used to be one in Castro Valley next to an apartment building. I think it died in the 1998 freeze or was cut down after it. I think it was damaged and the people probably thought it was dead.

What else?
See who else is growing Ficus elastica (Assam Rubber).
See who else has plants in genus Ficus.

I see the avocado tree. The Bay Area has some of the nicest, big avocado trees.
