Helleborus foetidus

Its always a cheerful sight when you spot these!

We had to stop growing this one, as it became enormous, and took over our small border!!

I like them, though they do seed themselves all over the garden :)

Yep they seed around but I value their winter flowers.

..and I just can't get them established at all!

How strange Karen, they grow easily here, but you grow lovely H orientalis?

I know..its really weird. I had a cracking big one in my first garden but no luck since. I think the slugs get them before they get going. I shall try a bigger plant bought locally if I ever see one!
