Eranthis pinnatifida - 2017

Tiny - and I mean TINY - flower that grows from a minute corm. This is typically three inches tall, and needs to be grown in a container as it soon gets lost in a garden. Open, humus-rich growing medium in a shady spot (think woodland plant). Incredibly slow to bulk up, and almost as slow to increase by seed.
