Thanks! It has 3' (1 m) or so of trunk. It's been flowering for the last two years; however, hasn't produced any seed. I think it's because it's been too hot and dry.

Nice looking palm, we grow the Dicksonia Antarctica which has to be watered every day during the summer months, but worth it to get those fabulous fronds, luckily the winter wet keeps it going through the winter....

Dicksonia antactica can grow here, also. It needs a lot of water, though. When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area there used to be very tall ones more than 25' (7.5 m) tall. They needed a lot of water there, also.

It loved all the rain we received in yesterday's huge storm. I just have to access all the damage outside. It was the strongest storm to hit San Diego, supposedly in 30 years.

bet it causes havoc when you are not use to it...hope it has done more good than harm..

It's caused a lot of trees to fall and even quite a bit of structure damage to homes from huge falling Eucalyptus trees. So, many of the Eucalyptus trees grow to more than 160 ft tall here.

It's been beneficial for our drought, though. We didn't receive the 3 to 4 inches of rain forecasted, it was more like 1 to 2 inches. That's a lot for one storm, though. Los Angeles area got hammered with 5 - 8 inches of rain yesterday, though. That's unheard of rains!

The reports on the news look extreme .. Those eucalyptus sound dangerous...stay safe..

Yes, Eucalyptus trees are very dangerous around houses and people during storms. The damage was pretty extensive throughout the southland here.
