It looks very strange! lol!
Olive trees grow this big in 3 or 5 years here. Not sure how fast they can grow there. I know you don't have such hot weather in winter, like we do...nor is the weather constantly hot, dry in summer, right?

Delonix this would have taken several years to grow, hence the price tag of £700.00 our tree is over 8ft and has been in this garden 17 years, but we do prune it every year to keep it that height!
We can have a hot summer, fairly rare, or a wet miserable one!! which is more likely lol

Wow! That's a lot of money for an olive tree that size.
Olive trees are so common here and grow very quickly. A 17 year old olive tree here would be at least 30' (10 m) tall and possibly as tall as 50' (15m). The biggest problems with olive trees are the huge trunks, big roots and the thousands of olives on the ground that stain everything! They can also pop up everywhere (here in California). Does it naturalize there, also?

It's probably for the best. They pop up everywhere and you need to pull them out before they get to a couple of feet tall or you'll never get them out of the ground.
