Thanks Ck and DD. It was a lovely day and this is where we sometimes see the water vole. They usually run a canal boat ride along this part of the canal during the summer months. They have done up the old mill across the road from there and there is a café at the side of the canal.

Derbyshire has a lot of places where you can visit old properties such as Chatsworth House, Kedleston Hall, both have lovely grounds to walk in, and the old mills. There is lovely countryside walks to go on too.

Yes indeed. Funny you should say that...it is one of the counties I would love to explore. One of my earliest Childhood memories is of scrambling up a small hill in Castleton and visiting the Blue John Mine. I don't know how or when I am going to get the chance to visit again.
