I had it in the 2 pan class last week, with a conifer.Obviously it was a week too soon, but I was quite pleased as the show photographer took a picture and put it in the AGS results.
I think I may have sent a seedling of this a couple of years ago.

Where are the leaves? I have a clump of this, stays in the garden with its leaves on all winter, although tatty.

I cut them off as the plant was entered in a show last Saturday and as you say, they were all tatty. You can see this years leaves just starting to poke through next to the stems.

That is very attractive. The leaves are lovely too. I am hoping my one will be suitable for a show next year.

Your pic has prompted me to look at your Harlow show blogs.

The quality of the plants is excellent.Sg,did I send you a seedling,or did you buy one.

I bought one last week when I went up to Binny. As it needs to grow outside would it be safe enough if I plant it in a pond basket plunged in the rockery then I can dig up the basket and pop it into a plastic pot. Fingers crossed it will be available for showing next spring.

Should be fine.I think plenty of people would do that, although some just dig plants out of the garden and pot them up.

Thank you. Mine would probably keel over and die if I was to just dig it up.
