It's going to bloom probably sometime this month, right?

Hopefully, the rain will stop up there before it flowers or the fruit won't set! I saw it was pouring rain up there. It's so dry here, again! I hope we get a little more rain here before it stops for 7 or 8 months.

Maybe by May at this rate. Not only did we get heavy rains- we had gusts to near 50 mph. IF not the strongest of the year, then at least a tie.
I call that..spring giving way to summer with a last gasp.

I hope.

Fruits ripen September to October. How the Fremont tree has fine fruits in January is a botanical wonder.

May will probably be the best time, also. It's drier.

I saw there were gusts to 55 mph at the Hayward Airport. My mother said her house was shaking the wind was so strong! It's really late in the year for such a strong storm. It hasn't been a normal year as far as weather, though.

Did the Bruce Dr. (Fremont) mango tree have ripe mangoes in January? I do know Mission San Jose, Fremont has an incredible climate. I lived there for over 4 years.

Yes- that UTUBE vid was posted by Bill the same week he visited that tree.
The frost free parts of the bay area are a treasure. I read a post by an Oakland who said he hasnt had a frost since 1990. I believe it..because the size of the tropicals there look like never cut back.
Fremont though- more warm. Plumeria will bloom in Fremont.
It hasnt been as warm as last week..but the longer days and more UV light can be felt Its warm to the touch now. I've been repotting and have a ways to go.

Ha! that wind? The youngest cat glued himself to me..all that haunted house noise scared the beejeebee's out of him. 'Ok,we watched baseball on TV together..lol.

Ack! more rain today and barely breaking 50f. They say another chance of rain on Thursday. Never ending.
We are now above average for the year in Hayville. 18.95 inches as compared to the usual seasonal end of 17.99

Tropicals that like a dry winter are miserable.

I heard about all the rain and wind. It's so crazy! My mom said her shingles were flying off the roof last Thursday in that storm (her roof is relatively new).

At least you won't have to water for a long time. I'm having to water almost every day, again! We were suppose to get a few showers and didn't receive a drop! My rain barrels are almost empty. I was hoping for a little more rain. :>((
