Yes, one of my faves. It changes color as it matures.

Thank you Delonix1. Originally, I only planted 5 bulbs, but every year they mulitiply and look better and better every year. I can't have too many. lol They make good cut flowers if you caterize the stem tips with fire. They smell nice too.
Thrupennybi - That was a magnificent number - very dreamy. Now I will always think of those dancers when I see these daffodils, or the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, lol.

? I shall check the Rockettes out thanks. Over here we had the Tiller girls in the UK one whom I knew well lived in our road when we were kids.

Isn't life funny that way - who can predict the outcome? I remember growing up playing 'Touch Football' with other kids in the neighborhood. If we played on grass, we could tackle, but not on asphalt or concrete. If all we could find was a muddy field, nobody cared. We can tackle in the mud because it didn't hurt though we all went home absolutely covered in it and could expect a good 'tongue lashing' from mom. It was worth all the fun we had. One of the kids we played with was drafted by the "Green Bay Packers." The Green Bay Packers has won more championships then any other American Football Team including 4 Super Bowls, and my friend is a big reason why. I'm still playing in the mud! Isn't life funny that way? I'll now go check out the Tiller Girls. Thanks!

I was just a very small child at the time they were both middle age they were my mum and dads friends hence why we called them aunty and uncle.

Great Memories. They must have made quite an impression on you. Did you ever see her perform?
13 Apr, 2017
Yes they were very friendly Jean was very pretty. No I did nt sadly she performed in London and the only time we went to London 100 miles away from where we live was to visit my auntys.

Bathgate:
Thanks! I never thought about cauterizing the stem before putting them in water. I'll have to try it with some other flowers.
14 Apr, 2017
She died years back before her husband Bill who is also dead now so unless I have a medium I doubt it ?
14 Apr, 2017
Del - cauterizing prevents the sap from leaking out which would have an adverse effect on other flowers in the same vase - it also keeps the water cleaner in the vase.
15 Apr, 2017
That sounds logical. I've used wax on some flowers. Cauterizing sounds a lot easier.
