beautiful Joannie! there really is no mistaking this one! 'Casa Blanca' - this really is the queen of all white lillies, take it from a florist once this one gets going (can sometimes take a few years) will put my 'set point' to shame!

Oh Majeejahead, today half the buds have opened and they look wonderful. Didn't get a photo though, too busy spring cleaning the kitchen and didn't go up the garden till it was nearly dark!!

It is now most of the flowers have opened. Planning on getting more lilies for the garden next year, they really earn their keep!

they certanily do Joannie, i have quite a few already and i am already ordering more for next year, and the important thing to remeber is once the flowers finish don't be tempted to cut the stem back. once all the petals drop just snap off the seed pods straight away and leave the rest to die back naturally. once the stems are completely brown you can just pull them off easly - if when you tug on it, it does'nt come easy then leave it a bit longer until it does. then give them a good feed next spring when they start to appear again, and they will just get bigger and better year after year! and watch out for the biggest pest to any lily the lily beetle - you can't miss it, it's bright red and just under a cm long. if you see them on your lilies remove them at once. they also leave a horrible black gue all over the leaves, - this is there lava and it can strip a stem of lily of all its folliege in just a few days! if you are like me and prefer not to touch these horrible beasties then there are sprays you can get that will get rid of them.

Thanks for the info for good lilies next year, I didn't know all that:-I I've seen those red beetles but I have my own minibeast remover, he's called Gray, lol. I've found quite a few hence many of the leaves are eaten :-( Laura sneaked a photo of me yesterday and in the corner are the lilies, I've post it in a minute
