Salvia 'Hot Lips'

Salvia 'Hot Lips' has never lost it's leaves all winter and just starting to flower. I bought this last year at Hampton Court in July in flower. What's going on?

My Hot Lips also remained evergreen and is flowering, but the flowers are solid red at the moment. Did this last year, some red, some white and some red and white flowers.
