Those blue Camassia go with so many contrasting shrubs, that is a beautiful combination.

They are amazing colours. I have the golden one...two if it in the Golden border. It's not the same as the dark ones...less upright and not as strong growing...but that's the case with a lot of golden foliage shrubs.

I don't have a golden one Karen but imagine it would contrast beautifully with the copper of Red Lady ...

Hi Amy, I bought a lovely one...probably the same as yours...yesterday and apparently it is a cross between the golden one and the really dark one. I thought it would be lovely on my red patio in a big pot (for now). It's hard to find anything with red foliage of any stature apart from Photinia which I don't really like, and Acers which don't like my sunny, windy situation.

Thanks GG...I don't want anything too prickly as its for the patio, but I did see some lovely red Berberis today..more dark purple than red though aren't they. I'll look that one up though....thanks. :)

My new physocarpus isn't Lady In Red. It's Diabole D'Or :) But its similar to Amy's here.

I thought about a Berberis for you Karen but then thought it may be to prickly , here's some shrubs you might like to look up ..I have a gorgeous Deutzia x hybrida 'Strawberry Fields " also a Spiraea jap. "Anthony Waterer" also a Prunus x Cistena all in my red bed ,the Prunus is Purple-leafed Sand Cherry height in 10 years 4ft .. I'm not sure if I believe that as they often grow bigger than stated ..
