Of the 5 you posted today, the small picture is the one that stands out.

This is much better in person. The blues became more intense against the ruby red.
I have been having problems with passing rain showers that seem to mess the whole day up. I can't make crosses with wet pollen, and I'm not a big fan of flowers with water drops (although I like the daylily named "Water Drops").

Know what you mean about wet pollen, same for Iris crossing, but in the south of the Uk we desperately need some proper rain. An interesting name often sells a plant, despite its growing characteristics.

I first go by looks, then foliage habit (dormant types don't do well here), then the hybridizer (where they live affects how the plants do), then other characteristics, what kind of offspring have been registered, and finally how I could use them.
Finding the right name for one of mine is worse than trying to pick a user name for a website. I have about 4 years before the one here might get registered, but I have already rejected a couple of names for it.
