Thrupennybit:

All my Angels Trumpet are growing in the ground. Here in San Diego we have a very mild subtropical climate. The temps in winter can vary, usually the morning lows are between 48 and 60ºF (9 - 16ºC) and high temps can be between 65 - 92ºF (18 - 33ºC), sometimes cooler or much hotter.

Thank you Deonix1 perhaps I should of over wintered mine in the house here in the uk.

7 May, 2017

If you get hard frosts or freezing temps it's best to overwinter your plants in the house.

7 May, 2017

Thank you Delonix1 I shall if I can find another one localky like the last one.

7 May, 2017

It's best to get cutting from someone you know. They're super common here in the ground. Most people get them from cuttings here.

I dont mix with any one at all only my son occational my daughter but all my kids hate gardening they want a nice garden and I have given them plants but it soon wears off with them all.

Many species of Angel's Trumpets are available at nurseries. Do you have many varieties available where you live?

8 May, 2017

I ve never seen one around here in the garden centres it was a local charity nursery who grows plants for children with learning difficulties where I got my last one but they did nt want to sell it me so I doubt if I ll get another from there. I will keep looking may be off the net.

8 May, 2017

Wow! That's amazing nurseries don't sell them there.

Off the internet you can purchase practically everything, though.

8 May, 2017

I ve not seen one yet in my area . Yes I shall be looking tomorrow on the net

8 May, 2017

Good luck! :>)

9 May, 2017

Thank you there are a few on the net when looking now its choosing which colour. Not sure if the multi coloured one each of the colours in one plant is one plant though.

9 May, 2017

Rarely does one plant have multi-colors on the flowers.

9 May, 2017

I thought that would be the case thank you.

9 May, 2017

Maybe you're talking about the two-tone appearance of the flowers? Typically, the bottom part of the flowers are brighter.

9 May, 2017

Nope here is one I ve seen others in red orange yellow too all on one plant it stated then this one says 3 in one

I found it. It appears this plant is either grafted or it's three separate plants. Most likely, three separate plants, though.

I just noticed it's three small plants in one pot.

13 May, 2017

Thank you Delonix1 I thought it was to good to just be one plant .

13 May, 2017

It's a very good idea. Sometimes you see plumeria trees that have two or three colored flowers. They graft or put two or three colors together before planting in the ground.

14 May, 2017

Thank you for that Delonix1 I think I might go for a blue or one like your golden yellow ones.

14 May, 2017

Blue ones are Datura, not Brugmansia. Datura grows wild along the freeways and canyons here.

15 May, 2017

Thank you so much for that I shall look for a golden yellow like yours then its a beauty.
