Very similar to P. bellidifolia, this species was first described in 2008. It differs in having thick white farina (powdery coating) on the undersides of its leaves. While it likes a moist soil, it is intolerant of winter wet, growing on mossy woodland slopes in the wild. Perennial but short lived, and less than a foot tall.
