Wisteria growing in to the Christmas tree.

it is already into the hedge and growing to about 25ft maybe more upwards, these are the latest shoots much lower down, I never do anything to it. It does its own thing maybe the 'day of the triffids' has arrived lol.

At that rate you will soon have a Wisteria tree. The flowers are beautiful when they come out though. You can prune it after flowering.

thanks for that Lindak. It has never been pruned, it grows itself higher and higher and the perfume is lovely by the garden gate. It has been in a few years now about 20 if my memory does not let me down. lol :O)

I think you can prune it also in February. Leave about 4-5 leaves on each shoot. There is useful information on the internet about pruning too.

I would need a very very tall ladder to reach my one for pruning it has climbed up into the beech trees in the hedge. lol. It is a happy bunny in its position no need to chop it our prune it so will not be doing any cutting back but thanks for the info.
